FREEDOM ANGEL FOUNDATION ( 501C3 )
"AN ANGEL FOR OUR SOLDIERS" Mission Statement:The members of Freedom Angel Foundation, Inc. have joined together to honor the men and women of the armed forces of the United States. Our mission is to raise public awareness of the special medical and social needs of these men and women when they return to civilian life and to raise funds to help meet those needs. By creating a new national monument to celebrate America and the men and women who protect her, we will have deliberately created a highly marketable insignia which can can be placed on many products, bearing the Angel's image. Coupled with corporate sponsorships, we hope to greatly increase the national level of donations across the country and, at the same time, give to our country a permanent, multi-generational source of income which is dedicated to our mission. We anticipate that the Freedom Angel will play an active part in American life and that once placed, the Freedom Angel will become a destination that every American will want to visit at least once in their lifetime. *Copyright: Freedom Angel Foundation: All Rights Reserved

THE FREEDOM ANGEL FOUNDATION     (  A NON PROFIT 501C3  )

MISSION STATEMENT: The members of Freedom Angel Foundation, Inc. have joined together to honor the men and women of the armed forces of the United States.  Our mission is to raise public awareness of the special medical and social needs of these men and women when they return to civilian life and to raise funds to help meet those needs.

By creating a new national monument to celebrate America and the men and women who protect her, we will have deliberately created a universally recognized, highly marketable insignia, which can be placed on many products, bearing the Angel's image.

SPECIFICS AS TO HOW THIS IS TO BE ACCOMPLISHED

Our Founder is Sterett-Gittings Kelsey, an internationally-known sculptor, has created the Freedom Angel, a timeless and non-sectarian image that conveys a rich sense of protection, shelter, peace, security, vitality, love, hope and freedom. The Freedom Angel will be the focus of the Foundation's activities.  Within three years, we plan to have built a thirty-foot high bronze sculpture, to be placed in a prominent location. The Freedom Angel will stand as a national monument to the guardians of our liberty and a reminder of the values for which they put their lives on the line.

We have commissioned Ms. Kelsey to build this work of art. Already seven feet high in clay, this mid-sized version of the Freedom Angel will be detailed and finished in public at The Danbury Fair Mall, in Connecticut. We expect that she be will completed, cast in bronze and ready for her road trip to New York City, Philadelphia and Washington D.C. during the last quarter of 2011. The Freedom Angel will spend several weeks on exhibition in each city, making millions of people aware of the needs of returning veterans and shifting our fundraising campaign into high gear.

The image of the Freedom Angel will appear in many forms and places as part of our effort to honor and help our veterans. We will use her image as a seal on special products, collectibles and memorabilia which we will sell to raise funds. We will enlist corporate sponsors who will be permitted to use this seal as a logo, signifying their support.  In this way, the Freedom Angel will be a powerful reminder of our veteran's needs, a celebration of their sacrifice for our country, and as a means to raise funds to help them return to health and civilian life.

A MESSAGE FROM   Sterett-Gittings  Kelsey

I am sixty-eight years old now.  I have been able to hang in there as a sculptor for almost fifty years!  Wow!  What a privilege!  I have enjoyed the freedom to think, write, associate, speak and create in whatever way the spirit has moved me for almost half a century!  Only in America!  When I reflect on this, I am deeply grateful for the men and women in our armed forces who protect our country and the freedoms her citizens enjoy.

Now I want to give something back to my country and have established the Freedom Angel Foundation to help with the huge medical needs and social problems faced by these brave men and women when they return from their heroic missions.  I will work with the Foundation to build a new national monument, in the form of a thirty-foot high bronze angel, which celebrates America and those who guard our freedoms.

My hope is that the Freedom Angel will help the Foundation focus fund raising campaigns, including membership drives, corporate sponsorships and the sale of a wide variety of items bearing the Angel's image, while greatly increasing the level of donations across the country. The Foundation will work very hard to broaden public awareness of the plight  of returning service men and women and to identify other agencies and organizations which can help, channeling resources to them from the income and contributions that it receives.

We ask for your support for this endeavor. You can find some detail of the mission of the Freedom Angel Foundation and the programs we have planned to accomplish our mission in the enclosed write-up.  We would be delighted to hear from you if you have questions or comments.  The Foundation can make good use of any support you can provide, whether in the form of money, spreading the word or good wishes.  We invite you to track our progress as it unfolds on this website:or   contact us: www.info@FreedomAngelFoundation.org
